Central Carolina Chrysanthemum Society presents Magnificent Mums on November 8 and 9, 2025, at the James Martin Building of the NC State Fairgrounds (Gate 9).
- Saturday, November 8: 1 to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, November 9: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is free.
Welcome Fall with a family friendly exhibition of the most amazing flowers you have ever seen. This is a flower competition and show of rare and enormous heirloom chrysanthemums, complete with judges, ribbons and prizes.
These are not your grocery-store mums, but carefully cultivated giants that will astound you with their size and variety of exotic forms and colors. They are football mums and spider mums on steroids.
This event is like Westminster dog show for flowers, where you will see rows of carefully cultivated blooms and creative flower exhibits. There are children’s activities and plenty of botanical wonder to keep you and your family entertained. If you are interested in saving heirloom beauty from extinction, or in botanical & horticultural rarity on display, this is a show for you and, perhaps, could become your hobby.
The mission of the Central Carolina Chrysanthemum Society is to save these extremely rare plants and help you grow them. If you like flowers and gardening, this is perfect for you.
