Durham County Library has two craft events planned for the Lunar New Year, one for kids and one for adults. They both require registration, and space is limited, so please follow the links and register as soon as possible.

Make It Monday! Paper Lanterns

Kids ages 7-14
February 17 is Chinese Lunar New Year, the start of the next year in the lunar calendar. This year is the Year of the Horse.
Learn how to use the Cricut cutting machine to make beautiful lanterns to celebrate the Lunar New Year!
Recommended for ages 7 – 14. This craft is difficult for younger children.
Please be on time to guarantee your supplies.

Celebrate the Chinese New Year and an exciting start to 2026- The Year of the Horse! Use a Cricut cutting machine to make a festive Year of the Horse garland. Open to teens and adults. Registration is required.
