The Lunar New Year takes place January 22nd, 2023, and is celebrated all month long.
Although commonly referred to as Chinese New Year, it’s also celebrated in other Asian countries, especially Vietnam and Korea.
2023 is the Year of the Rabbit in most Asian countries! If you were born in 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951 or 1939, after the Lunar New Year (late January or early February) you were born in the Year of the Rabbit.
If you were born in the year of the rabbit, you are known to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded and ingenious. You’re compatible with the Goat, Dog and Pig. You aren’t so great with the Rat or Rooster.
Famous people born in the Year of the Rabbit are Albert Einstein, Michael Jordan and David Beckham.
That said, in Vietnam, the cat has supplanted the rabbit, so 2023 will be the year of the cat.
