The Lover and the Sword, led by poets Travis Kyng and Antino Art, is a Valentine’s Day poetry night. It takes place Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Raleigh Mutual Aid Hub, 415 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. Doors at 6:30 p.m. and poetry at 7 p.m.
Admission is $10. All proceeds go to supporting this community of artists.
Travis Kyng and Antino Art do not have the privilege of writing love letters to a significant other. So they write poetry for anyone who shows love — the mothers, the daughters, the strangers in the coffee shop, and the community that stands with them.
On Saturday 2/14 at the RUMAH, they’re taking back Valentine’s for the people who still have love no matter what they’ve battled through in life.
Featuring a lineup of heart-piercing poets, open mic performances, a chocolate buffet, and maybe a sad violin solo by Antino Art if the mood strikes.
