On Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by South Green, 501 S Greensboro Street, Carrboro, North Carolina, for Life on Wheels.
This is a free event.
Join BikeCarrboro, Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill, and the Town of Carrboro for a day of fun, and learn how to make your bike do more. They will have a Bike “zoo” set up with various bikes that people have set up to carry more things—groceries, kids, packages.
Several local bike shops (Trek, Back Alley Bikes, East Coast Electric Speed Shop, and the Clean Machine) will be on hand so you can try out some bikes including commuter bikes, cargo bikes and e-bikes! With the holidays just around the corner, get your holiday ideas lined up before Small Business Saturday comes the following weekend!
Please bring an ID and a Credit Card if you plan to do a test ride.
This free event will feature:
- A Chapel Hill transit bus for you to see how to put your bike on the bus’s bike rack
- A traffic garden for kids to ride around on
- Giveaways
- Games for kids and adults
- Helmets for those who need one
- Bike Shops with demo bikes for adults to try out (must have License/ID and Credit card to be held for test rides)
- Lots of information and lots of gift ideas
- Bike Checks by Red Ridge and the ReCYCLEry
