Raleigh Parks and Oaks and Spokes are holding a free Learn to Ride event on Saturday, January, 25, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Marsh Creek Park, 3050 N New Hope Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.
Volunteers will help participants gain a sense of balance and control on a bicycle, without training wheels, by using the balance bike method. A balance bike is any bike with the pedals removed, which allows riders to steady themselves using their feet.

Oak and Spokes will have a bike mechanic on site for basic bike repairs, including inflating tires and adjusting brakes.
More skilled riders can practice their braking and turning skills in a small obstacle course made of cones.
