The Kraken, 2823 NC Highway 54 W, in Chapel Hill, is a roadhouse a few miles west of downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro and a few miles east of Saxapahaw. It features a great front porch, free pool, and live music. They also show all the UNC basketball games.

Features Stan Lewis, Charles Latham and the Borrowed Band, and Will McBride Group. (Mysti Mayhim is on the poster but can’t be there.) Proceeds go to the WNC Red Cross. More benefit concerts are planned, with the proceeds going to local WNC organizations.
