If you’re up for a road trip to Concord, just over two hours from the Triangle, you’re in for a treat!
zMAX Dragway, at Charlotte Motor Speedway, 6570 Bruton Smith Blvd, Concord, is hosting a drive-thru event like no other. Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru is coming to town from February 12th to 21st, 2021.
If you do go to the Charlotte area, make sure to check out Charlotte on the Cheap! It’s just like Triangle on the Cheap, only with a focus on the Queen City.
The attraction features more than 70 animatronic, photorealistic dinosaurs in realistic scenes. Experiencing the dinosaurs roaring and moving as you drive through the tour, the nation’s largest touring dinosaur show.
You’ll also see a 50 foot long Megalodon, an extinct species of spark that lived million of years ago.
The national tour has been hugely popular, with more than 300,000 vehicles and 1.5 million people attending since it launched in mid-July.
It’s made stops in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Detroit, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Houston and more.
In addition to the life-like dinosaur exhibits, there will be opportunities to visit with baby dinosaurs and a team of dino trainers, as well as the chance to capture the moment with a safari-style photo of your vehicle and family transported back in time via a Jurassic setting complete with a dinosaur backdrop.
All attendees will leave with a photo (included with ticket purchase) that says “We Survived Jurassic Quest 2021!”
The drive-thru takes up to an hour.
Tickets are $49 per vehicle, up to 8 people. If your vehicles seats 9-15 people the ticket price is $80. . Tickets must be purchased online, in advance.
