This exhibition will present Indian decorative artifacts and explore some of the lesser known details of Indian craftsmanship that will appeal to both the novice and connoisseur.

Traditional Indian medicine is called Ayurveda and literally translates as “knowledge of life.” It goes back some 5,000 years and is based on the idea that disease is the result of an imbalance in a person’s consciousness. Hence, the goal of treatment is to restore a balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment. Ayurveda treatment starts with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage, and meditation. Learn more about the philosophy of the Ayurvedic approach and the intricacies of massage therapy at this interactive session with an ayurvedic practitioner.
