On April 8, 2024, we will experience a partial solar eclipse in North Carolina. At approximately 3:15 p.m. (depending where in the Triangle you are) there will be around 78% to 80% coverage.
Imagination Station, at 224 Nash Street SE, Wilson, North Carolina, will hold an eclipse viewing event in its pollinator garden from 2:30 to 4 p.m. This is a free event.
Make sure to use look at the sun only if you’re using an approved solar viewer that meets ISO 12312-2 international standards. You can also use a pinhole viewer. Imagination Station will have some viewers on hand, or you can purchase one ahead of time to make sure that you have one. (See below for some suggestions.)
