Mark Hewitt Pottery, 424 Johnny Burke Road, Pittsboro, NC, is holding his Holiday Kiln Opening for just one more weekend:
- December 14 and 15, 2024
The hours are:
- Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sundays: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be a Seconds Sale on Sunday. A second is a pot with reduced price because of a minor flaw.
Enjoy an outing to the pottery/farm — walk inside the kilns and shop in the large barn/showroom full of lovely functional and decorative pottery. Families are always welcome – they have swings!
What’s new? New glaze colors! By pulverizing local granites in his large ball mill, Mark has created stunning glazes ~ so many shades of blue along with his traditional salt glazes. Come choose from hundreds of finely crafted, handmade pots, made with clays from North and South Carolina!
Find a unique, hand-crafted gift by award-winning potter, Mark Hewitt, or choose something special for yourself! Mark’s life-sized ‘Big Pots’ – tall vases, jars and sentinels are also on display.
Mark Hewitt Pottery is also open by appointment between Kiln Openings by emailing sales@hewittpottery.com or calling 919-656-8889.
Here’s the place to find that perfect, personal gift of a locally made comfy mug, elegant vase, or useful bowl for that special person or for you. This is a great place for a head start on your holiday shopping!
Hewitt Pottery is #39 on the annual Chatham Studio Tour featuring over 50 artists in open studios across Chatham County.
