Hayti Heritage Center, at 804 Old Fayetteville Street, Durham, NC, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an open house on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 12 to 6 p.m.
This will be a full-building immersive look at the Hayti Heritage Center’s past, present and future.
The City of Durham is sponsoring this event, and ABC11 is the media sponsor.
The Hayti Heritage Center is located in the heart of the historic Hayti community, a post-Reconstruction Black enclave that thrived through most of the 20th century. The center serves as a guardian of cultural memory, community connection and Black cretive excellence.
