Celebrate the Olympic Winter Games at Downtown Cary Park’s Gold Medal Games on February 7, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m.
This is a free event for all ages. No registration is required. Downtown Cary Park is at 327 S Academy Street, Cary, North Carolina.
Bundle up for a winter games–themed celebration full of fun, competition, and creativity! Cheer on Team USA as they chase the gold, then step into the action yourself by trying out a variety of winter sport–inspired challenges.
Explore hands-on winter games and themed art activities designed for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you’re competing, creating, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s your chance to take a shot at glory and enjoy a festive winter day in the park. All activities are free.
You can find TV’s streaming live broadcasts of Team USA events inside Academy Pavilion and the Gathering House, as well as outside on our Great Lawn Pavilion.
Participants can also:
- Try out the Inflatable Curling Board in Park Street Arena
- Try the Slap Shot Booth with the Carolina Hurricanes in Park Street Arena
- Give VR Skiing a try using a Meta Quest 3 Headset in Academy Pavilion
- Stop by the ice sculpture photo op at Great Lawn Pavilion
- Make your own bobsled, then can test it out on a miniature bobsled course made of ice on the Great Lawn Pavilion!
- Make your own Olympic medals at our craft station in the Gathering House
- Test your endurance and skills at our DCP Biathlon (relay races) on Frantz Square Lawn
