Once again, gift cards are at the top of many people’s wish list this holiday season. Gift cards are always an efficient and convenient way to check off your holiday shopping list. Best of all, it pays to give gift cards because of all the bonus offers this time of year.
With most of these deals, when you buy a gift card you receive a “bonus card.” A bonus card is not the same as a gift card. Most of the bonus cards have a relatively short redemption period — in many cases just a month or two. Also, if you use a bonus card, but not the full amount, for a purchase, the card might not hold a balance. So make sure to read the fine print before purchasing.
Most of the gift cards must be purchased by December 31, 2024, in order to receive the bonus — some promos end earlier, so check first.
In addition, some bonuses are available online or in-store only, while others are available either way.
In addition, there may be local deals that aren’t even listed online, so stop by your favorite neighborhood spot and ask.
We are listing many national gift card deals, and some of the restaurants are not in the Triangle. We’re including them anyway, in case you’re shopping for someone in a different area.
