The Friends of Orange County Public Library is hosting a monthly series, Oh, You Need to Talk To…
Gardening, fabric arts, history, genealogy–if you want to know how these things and more are done in Hillsborough and who does them, join your neighbors on Zoom on the third Sunday of every month. Ask your expert neighbors questions before and during the meeting. Show them your gardening issue or quilting problem, or ask them about the cemetery marker you just saw.
Each session will have a different focus, and you can direct your questions on that topic to people who know all about it.
UPDATE: The December 19th event has been postponed. Please check back soon for updates!
There are many different varieties of celebrations this time of year. Most of us have some very fond memories of celebrations we have been part of in the past. Now, more than any other time in recent history, it would be a good idea for each of us to share something that we found deep and joyous with one another. It could be a song, a poem, a couple of paragraphs of a short story or a novel, a picture of your favorite holiday decoration, a letter from a soldier or someone else far from home, or even just some anecdotes.
This month …. Oh You Need To Talk To … each other.
Please take a moment and join the discussion on Sunday, December 19th, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Register here.
Tell the organizers about what you would like to share when you register. You can leave a link to something you want to share, or you can upload a picture after you get your confirming email. They will have these pictures and links queued up by name during the event, so that when you raise your hand in the meeting, they can make you a temporary presenter and you can talk about what everyone will be seeing. Alternatively, they can report what you sent and ask if there are questions, which you will be able to answer them if you are in the audience.
