Monday July 3: “What’s So Funny? Peace, Love, and Understanding?”
Patriotically combining social consciousness with laughs, this unique All-American film program is against war, for civil rights, and sprinkled with laughs. A unique show of comedy clips plus “The Language of Faces,” a 1961 film about a peaceful protest at the Pentagon; plus “An Interview with Bruce Gordon,” a candid film with a SNCC field coordinator recorded in Selma, Alabama, 1963. Honestly folks, can’t we all just get along, without irony or sarcasm, really just learn to get along together? What year is this, anyway? Show starts at dark, BYO chair or blanket. Admission is free, we pass the hat.
Show starts at 9:00. Admission is free. The hat will be passed, however! Bring your own chair or blanket. Plan to come early, bring a picnic, enjoy the twilight.
