A Place at the Table is Raleigh’s first “pay what you can” cafe, at 300 W Hargett Street, Raleigh, North Carolina.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., A Place at the Table Cafe is hosting the Pay-What-You-Can Food Truck Rodeo in the parking lot across the street.
Just like it says in the name of the event, you pay what you can. If you can pay more, that’s awesome. Your generosity supports A Place at the Table, which provides meals for everyone in dignity, regardless of their ability to pay.
Ticket packages are a suggested price of $25. The package includes one entrée and one dessert. You can pay $25, pay less, or pay it forward! You might not be seeing this in time to buy tickets in advance, but no worries: you can purchase them the day of!
Food trucks include:
- LocoPops
- Tombachi
- Bulkogi
- Magdalena’s
- Goodness Grace Us Catering
- Royal Cheesecake
- Donut NV
- Henry’s Hot Chicken
- Lil Reggie Cookies
- Not Just a Fry Guy
- The Spinning Plate
