Celebrate Take a Child Outside Week and the Worldwide Day of Play with a family-friendly celebration of our local pollinators.
FlutterFest takes place Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Prairie Ridge Ecostation, 1671 Gold Star Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina.
This is a free event. It’s designed for families with children up to age 10. It includes walking between activities on uneven grass- and gravel-covered paths.
Dressed in your favorite pollinator costume (bee, butterfly, bat, bird, etc.), get ready to explore, engage, and play in nature at activity stations set up around Prairie Ridge!
From pollinating like a bee to crafting bat homes to creating hummingbird kites, you’ll explore pollinators in new ways and dive into the wonderful world of native plants and the amazing critters that pollinate them.
