You might have to drive a little bit from the heart of the Triangle to see fireworks this year. One of the places that’s still planning a fireworks display is Benson.
Please scroll down for more 4th of July events around the Triangle.
It will take place on Saturday, July 4th, 2020, around 9 p.m., and should be viewable from many places around Benson.
There is no gathering planned.
Here’s the press release:
For this year’s Fourth of July celebration, the Town of Benson and the Benson Parks and Recreation Department have decided not to promote a large gathering. No event is scheduled for the Singing Grove. However, our fireworks display is still scheduled for the Fourth and we couldn’t be more excited about it!
The display will be setup and launched from the same location as previous years (J. Lee Road), so the fireworks will be viewable from most locations around Benson.
Benson’s fireworks on the Fourth have become something that our residents and those in neighboring communities look forward to. We are happy to continue this tradition and we are encouraging residents and visitors alike to enjoy the night’s celebration from their own backyard, a friend or family member’s home, or their favorite spot around town. It’s going to be awesome!
