North Carolina Museum of Art presents Family Renaissance Fair, a free event on Sunday, June 4th, 2017, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the East Building and Museum Park.
Step back in time and visit Venice for an afternoon of merriment, music, games, traditional craft demonstrations, and art-making for the whole family! Princesses and kings, pirates and comedians, fairies and acrobats are just some of the people you will encounter at the NCMA’s Renaissance Village.
Activities take place inside and out, rain or shine, and will include calligraphy, blacksmithing, maskmaking, interactive drumming, and performances.
Don’t miss a chance to get up close with Italian Renaissance art! Visitors to the Renaissance Fair can receive a free youth ticket (ages 7–18) to Glory of Venice: Renaissance Paintings 1470–1520 with a paid adult ticket.
