The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is hosting a free community event, Family History Fair, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 2540 Broad Street, Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
Participants can explore and learn more about their family history. There event features family history classes, places to record memories, youth and children’s activities, a family photo booth, and one-on-one help with local genealogy consultants.
All are welcome as we strive to remember and learn more about those that came before us.
There will be eight different classes (two each hour) with topics ranging from finding your African American ancestors, getting started with FamilySearch (a free family history site), using AI in your family history research, and finding your Latin American family history (this class will be offered in Spanish).
There will also be a children’s room (for ages 3-11), and a youth room (ages 12-18) with activities specifically designed for kids to learn more about their family history.
