Family Field Day is a FREE outdoor play festival featuring classic field day games, a kid-friendly try-athlon, music and nonstop family fun.
It takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the outdoor Marbles Playway, 201 East Hargett Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Moore Square. Museum admission is not included.
Activities at Family Field Day
The try-athon isn’t your average race, it’s a celebration of play! Run it. Walk it. Dance it. Try out new ways to move through the course.
Take part in classic field day activities like three- legged race, egg & spoon walk, family freeze dance, stroller games and more.
Move and grove with music on the main stage hosted by Urban Radio One, DJ Remedy and special performances from the YMCA Super Skippers, Baile Folklorico Vicky and more!
