Falling for Local is a free event at Dix Park, 2105 Umstead Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This festival is a celebration of fall and of local businesses. It’s presented by Shop Local Raleigh, Dix Park Conservancy and Dorothea Dix Park.
The festival features tons of local vendors, food trucks, North Carolina craft breweries, live music, FREE pumpkins and fall photo ops, a kids’ zone, and more.

The fall festival at Doretha Dix park isn’t giving away free pumpkins today. They are not advertising it on their website either.

They actually did say it in the submission that they made to Triangle on the Cheap. The exact wording: “We’ll have loads of FALL FUN including hay rides, inflatables, lawn games, kids activities, photo ops, animals, and a pumpkin patch all FREE of charge!”
Sorry for any confusion.
