Durham County Library is presenting a free event, Exceptional Measures — Celebrating Juneteenth, on June 15th, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., at Carolina Theatre, 309 W Morgan Street, Durham.

Experience the exceptional measures found in the artists’ poem stanzas, song lyrics, music, and dance as we recognize the connection each has to the history behind celebrating Juneteenth.
Remember and honor the exceptional measures taken over time and continually to this day by the culture and people to not only survive, but thrive.
The event features:
- Rissi Palmer — Grammy nominated artist
- Dasan Ahanu — Nationally competing spoken word artist
- African American Dance Ensemble
This event is free for all, but registration is required.
