Jordan Lake, at 2060 Jordan Dam Road, Moncure, North Carolina, is holding its very first EagleFest on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is a schedule change from the original date of January 11.
This is a free event.
Jordan Lake is home to at least 25 nesting pairs of bald eagles. In the winter, dozens of migratory eagles congregate below the dam- an amazing sight to see!
The event is being held at the Jordan Tailrace, just below the dam. Partnering organizations will have displays highlighting bald eagles, the Jordan Lake eagle population, and conservation efforts. Activities will include guided bird walks, stationary birdwatching, Ranger talks, and more!
