Durham Really Really Free Market is a community gathering that’s all about sharing. Bring what you don’t need. and take anything you do need.
It’s not about buying, selling, trading or bartering. Just sharing. No money involved.
You might also be interested in the Carrboro Really Really Free Market, which takes place the first Saturday of the month.
The market takes place across from the Lyon Park playground, 1200 W. Lakewood Avenue, Durham. It’s normally on the first Sunday of the month, at 2 p.m., but might be rescheduled due to weather.
You can find updates on the Durham Really Really Free Market Facebook page.
Items can be pretty much anything, including home goods, clothing, jewelry, books, toys, furniture, food, musical instruments and more.
If you’d like to share a service, like drawing, cutting hair, or playing music, that’s great too!
Some items people have needed in the past were backpacks, coats, socks, food, cleaning supplies, Clorox wipes, bleach, and paper towels.
