The Durham Greek Festival is not going to take place in October of 2021, but, in its place, St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church is presenting A Taste of Greece on Saturday, October 9th, and Sunday, October 10th, 2021, from 11 am. to 7 p.m. each day.
It will be an all-outdoors event, where you can purchase the Durham Greek Festival’s most popular food items for dine-in (in a tented area) or for take-out.
It’s at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 8306 NC Hwy 751, Durham, 1/2 mile south of I-40 Exit 274, near the Streets at Southpoint Mall.
The menu includes popular favorites like gyro pitas, spanakopita, moussaka and stuffed grape leaves, plus baklava and other favorite pastries.
Gussy’s Loukoumotion Food Truck will be serving up mouth-watering loukoumades…fresh-fried dough balls drizzled with honey syrup and toppings.
Shop the Greek grocery for feta, olives, olive oil, traditional Greek breads and more.
Visit craft artisans for a selection of handmade jewelry and one-of-a-kind artwork created from nature and recycled items.
Browse the Souvenir Shop, which will feature Greek fisherman’s hats, coin skirts, imported novelties and unique T-shirts.
Look for the return of the full Durham Greek Festival on May 14th and 15th, 2022.
