In addition, Durham Ballet Theatre is presenting a sensory-friendly performance on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is FREE, but registration is required and space is limited.
This performance has been adapted for adults and children who might benefit from a more relaxed environment. The house lights won’t go down as much as they normally would. Strobe lighting is avoided, and music is quieter, with no loud or sudden sound effects.
Also, if a patron makes noises, shouts out or fidgets, it’s fine.
