The Durham Art Parade is a free event taking place Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will start and end at the Scrap Exchange parking lot at The Shoppes at Lakewood, 2050 Chapel Hill Road, Durham, NC. The route is 1.7 miles long.
Anyone can participate in the parade, but please register.
The parade procession welcomes:
- Wearable art
- Art on a banner or sign that you hold
- Art on a small set of non-motorized wheels, such as a scooter or a wagon
- Sculptural art that you carry
- Mobile musical art, poetry/spoken word or performance
If you would like to perform (in a non-mobile way) let the organizers know and they’ll find a spot for you on the parade route. The parade will not stop for performances.
