
In partnership with the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources & the North Carolina Museum of Art, Dia de Oakwood enters its third year as a cultural and educational arts project.
Rooted in the traditions of Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican tradition that celebrates family and ancestry. Learn more about Dia de Oakwood.
Dix Park is hosting several unique art workshops with the organizers of Dia de Oakwood, where participants can create decorative flowers for the ofrenda installations at Dia de Oakwood.
The instructors are Peter Marin and Marlene Sharak. The workshops take place at The Chapel at Dix Park, 1030 Richardson Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina.
The workshops are free to attend and all materials are provided. Space and materials are limited, and registration is required.
Registration will open for each event two weeks before its date.
