In anticipation of Lazy Daze on August 23 and 24, Downtown Cary Park, 327 S Academy Street, Cary, North Carolina, is hosting Demo Daze on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m.
This is a free event for the whole family, and even features Doodle Daze, an interactive art zone just for kids.
Watch artists create across a variety of artistic media, ask questions, and maybe even try your hand at some of the crafts.
Demo Daze

- En Plein Air Watercolor Painting with Rani Ray and/or Joe Godfrey
- Pottery with Sam Steffen (Cary Arts Center)
- Torch Enameling with Ndidi Kowalczyk (Cary Arts Center)
- Caricature Drawing with Alberto Lung (Cary Arts Center)
- Silk Painting with Janet Masouras (Cary Arts Center)
- Calligraphy with Kimberly Arana
- Acro Demonstration by Carlie Huberman, Carolina Circus Festival (coming September 2025)
- Doodle Daze with Darren Farrell, Children’s Book Author & Illustrator
