The Town of Angier is presenting a two-day Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on November 1 and 2, 2024.
- Friday, November 1: 5 to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, November 2: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The celebration takes place at Angier Depot, 19 W Depot Street, Angier, North Carolina. This is a free event.
The celebration will include a Family Heritage Center featuring genealogical research stations and workshops. Bring your family’s history to life while honoring loved ones from all backgrounds.
Everyone is invited to contribute copies of photos or significant items to our public ofrenda located in the gazebo, where we will collectively celebrate and remember those who have passed.

- Ofrenda Opening 5:00pm – Gazebo
- Family Heritage Center in the Depot 6:00-9:00pm
- Movie Night -Disney’s Coco 7:00 pm
Saturday, November 2: Ofrenda opens at 10:00 am
- Family Heritage Center in the Depot 10:00-2:00
- Traditional cultural dance performances and live Mariachi music starting at 12:00 noon
- Walk of Life 1:30pm
