In partnership with the Garner Performing Arts Center, the NC Museum of History invites you to bring your favorite craft supplies to a free showing of the classic World War II-era film Casablanca.
Crafting at the Cinema takes place Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Garner Performing Arts Center, 742 W Garner Road, Garner, North Carolina.
Admission is free, but tickets are required.
Garner Performing Arts Center’s concession stand will be open.
The theater lights will stay slightly up during the movie, so you can work on your knitting, embroidery, coloring, or any other lap-friendly craft. Connect with others in the lobby throughout the program to view WW2 artifacts and reflect on the upcoming Veterans Day holiday with museum staff.
Disclaimer: Attendees must bring their own materials for crafting. Lap-friendly crafts are defined as art projects that can be contained to a single theater seat and that do not include the use of glue, paint, or glitter.
