Celebrate tomato season at Chatham Tomato Festival at The Plant, 220 Lorax Lane, Pittsboro, North Carolina, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 12 to 6 p.m. This is a rescheduled date.
This is a free event.
The event includes:
- 12 p.m.: Festival opening bell
- 1 p.m.: Tomato Pie Competition: Free to enter: https://www.theplantnc.com/competitions
- 2 p.m.: Tomato Pie Competition winner announced
- 2 p.m.: Tomato Talk with Abby of Highland Farm – learn all about the Cherokee Purple and other heirloom varieties!
- 3, 4, and 5 p.m. Garden tours. Meet at the Little Pond Gardens farm stand for a fun, educational tour of what’s growing
- 3 to 6 p.m.: Live music with Colby Jack & The High Lifes
- All Day Seasonal Tomato Food & Drink Specials
- Vendor & Craft Market
