Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation is presenting a Community Book Bag Giveaway for local students.
Check out a big list of back to school bashes in the Triangle.
It takes place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Hargraves Community Center, 216 Roberson Street, Chapel Hill.
The bookbag giveaway is for local students in grades K-12. Children must be present to receive one bookbag, assorted school supplies, and socks while supplies last. Families can line up at Northside Gymnasium at Hargraves Community Center starting at 9:30 a.m.
In addition to the giveaway, there will be food, free haircuts, braids, vendors, entertainment and more.
