Bentwinds Country and Golf Club, Big NC Tennis and Western Wake Wheelchair Tennis are presenting Polar Plunge and Tennis Carnival on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will take place at Bentwinds Golf and Country Club, 6536 Dornoch Place, Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
Admission to the event is free. Enjoy a day of tennis fun, a polar plunge, and vendor shopping, all to support Western Wake Wheelchair Tennis. To take place in the Polar Plunge (in the pool), raise a minimum of $25. Last year, the event raised $500. This year, the goal is $2,500 for a brand-new tennis wheelchair.
Schedule of Polar Plunge and Tennis Carnival
- 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – Shop till you drop! The vendors are here to support wheelchair tennis, and they have some amazing products.
- 10:00 am – 11:00 am – Witness the magic of what tournament tennis players can do on wheels! Cheer on the players as they show off their tennis skills, and after the matches, take the opportunity to chat with them and learn more about wheelchair tennis.
- 11:15 am – 12:30 pm – Open Play and Challenge Courts. No need to be a pro to have some fun on the court! Big NC Tennis has got you covered with games for all, including a Serve Speed competition and Target Practice.
- 12:45 pm And for the daring ones out there, get ready to take the Polar Plunge.
