The Beer & Banjos music series focuses on traditional and acoustic music from North Carolina. The original Beer & Banjos series takes place in Raleigh, and a second one is in Durham. The newest location is Carrboro.
The house band, the Beer & Banjos All-Stars, kicks off each night with a performance from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Usually they’re followed by a headliner from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., although on occasion the All-Stars play the whole show. Read on for the upcoming Beer & Banjos Carrboro lineup. Also, keep reading for a list of outdoor music from around the Triangle.

You can enjoy Beer & Banjos Carrboro every Wednesday, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., at 401 Main, the community bar at 401 E. Main Street, Carrboro.
There’s no cover charge. Please make sure to buy a drink or two, tip your bartender, and tip the musicians. If you enjoy the music, consider buying merchandise from the band.
401 Main also serves food. You’ll find appetizers like fried pickles and crab bites, as well as soups, salads, sandwiches, and sides. Platters are also available, and there’s a kids’ menu.
Beer & Banjos Carrboro is hosted by Chapel Hill musician Jon Ward Beyle, whose first full-length album will be released this fall. Learn more about Jon Beyle here.
