The public is invited to the FREE Asian Culture and Music Festival on Saturday, October 5th, 2019, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at Stewart Theatre, 2610 Cates Avenue, Raleigh, on the NC State campus. Stewart Theatre is in Talley Student Union.
This free festival explores many cultures of Asia through music and dance.
Featured is leading artist Meiyu Wang, an accomplished artist, singer, musician, pianist, sound healer drum circle facilitator, and academic scholar.
Meiyu Wang has performed in the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Austria, Romania, Switzerland, Vietnam, China, and Hungary. She successfully hosted the “Yi Singer Meiyu Wang’s Solo Concert” in Hungary and was awarded the title of “Outstanding Artist” by the European Art Festival and “International Music Artist” by American International Education Centre.
She was selected on behalf of Yunnan province in China to participate in CCTV’s Ninth China Young Singer TV Competition and awarded “Best Individual Screen Performer.” She’s also published two original music albums, “Mandolin in the Sky” and “Listening to the Rain.”
