Apex Prom Shoppe is a one-weekend-only, annual FREE shop for prom dresses and accessories. Apex United Methodist Church, 100 S Hughes Street, Apex, North Carolina, has been holding this event for years, and they have more dresses than ever this year — over 1,000 dresses.
Girls planning to attend prom (or other formal dance) are welcome to come in a shop for dresses and accessories.
Apex Prom Shoppe takes place:
- Friday, February 28, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
No appointments are needed.
There will be over 15 dressing rooms to try on the dresses.
Girls from any town or city are welcome. There’s no paperwork or proof of income, but please do consider that the event is intended for girls who need help affording prom.
The girl who needs the dress must be present. Moms, aunts, etc. can’t shop solo for the dresses, although they are welcome to accompany the prom dress shopper!
Dads, boyfriends, brothers, grandfathers, etc. must remain in the lobby.
This weekend is the only opportunity to shop at Apex Prom Shoppe. After this weekend the dresses will be carefully wrapped and stored for next year.
