Triangle Train: New Hope Valley Railway, 3900 Bonal Road, New Hill, North Carolina, is celebrating two milestones during their 2024 season.
It’s been 40 years since the first train ride for visitors, and 120 years since William Roscoe Bonsal built the New Hope Valley Railroad Company.
So the celebration weekend, on April 20 and 21, 2024, is called the 40/120 Anniversary Celebration.
During this celebration, guests will be taken back to the “golden age of train travel” with a variety of activities and attractions.
Take a train ride through the scenic pine forest
The train rides will take place at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 20, and at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. on April 21. Tickets are $14 for adults, $13 for seniors (age 60+) and $11 for children (ages 2-12.) Purchase tickets.
