Several local organizations are joining together to present a World Hunger Day event on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Durham Central Park, 501 Foster Street, Durham, North Carolina.
This free event will raise awareness of food insecurity in the community, as well as the work being done to support residents.
The event will feature a free bounce house and free snacks, as well as music, food trucks, entertainment, giveaways and more.
These are the organizations that are involved:

- Durham County Cooperative Extension
- Durham County Social Services
- End Hunger Durham
- Feed My Sheep of Durham NC, Inc
- Mount Calvary United Church of Christ
- Produce Rescue
- Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center
