
Several local organizations are joining together to present a World Hunger Day event on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Durham Central Park, 501 Foster Street, Durham, North Carolina.
This free event will raise awareness of food insecurity in the community, as well as the work being done to support residents.
The event will feature:
- Free food giveaways
- Music
- Food trucks
- Kids’ activities
- Community resources and giveaways
- Free veggie and herb plants
- More
You can help! Here are three ways you can help:
- Spread the word – Tell your community about the event.
- Volunteer – Many volunteers are needed to make this event happen. See details and sign up here.
- Buy a meal for a neighbor – Help ensure that everyone at the event can enjoy a meal from a local food truck. Please consider donating to help your neighbors and community. The first 50 donors will receive an event t-shirt! Donate here.
