Durham County Library is hosting many wellness activities in May, 2019. These are all free, but make sure to follow each link for important details, like the intended age range, and to see if you need to register.

Gentle Yoga
Monday, May 6th, 2019

South Regional Library
Gentle Yoga with Experienced Instructor, trained in Yoga for Seniors at Duke Integrative Medicine. This gentle yoga class is designed to increase strength and flexibility, relieve stress, and promote overall health benefits. Patrons will learn to tune into their own intuitive wisdom of body, mind and heart. and learn skills that can be used outside of the class setting. Participants need to bring a mat.

Family Yoga

Southwest Regional Library
We designed this time to practice yoga together in an accepting non-judgmental atmosphere. Children are welcome. Please bring your own mats. No registration is required.

Down South Shuffle
Monday, May 6th, 2019
6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m.
Southwest Regional
Join Down South Shuffle for line dancing and get some exercise. Down South Shuffle is open to all levels of dancers. Come for the first hour and practice your basic steps. Stay for the last hour to learn some advanced moves.

Soul Line Dancing

7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
North Regional Library
Line Dance for fun and fitness with instructor Malinda Evans of Party of One, Inc. Music used includes R&B, Pop, and Reggae. Please bring water and a towel, and be sure to wear sneakers or dance shoes, and dress in loose clothing. Registration required.
