
The annual Wake County Smart Start Block Party takes place Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Roberts Park, 1300 E Martin Street, Raleigh, North Carolina.
This is a free event designed for young children (ages 0-5) and their families. The activities will be geared toward children up to age 5, but there will be some activities for their older siblings as well.
Please pre-register. Participants will need to check in upon arrival, and if you’ve pre-registered you can save time.
10 to 11 a.m. will be sensory-friendly quiet hour. Choose this time for a more peaceful experience.
This block party will celebrate the diverse forms of parental care in our communities and raise awareness about the crucial role families play in giving young children the best start in life.
The event also includes food, free books and more. All giveaways are first-come, first-served.
