Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is offering FREE ukulele lessons to adults ages 18+. The lessons take place on Wednesdays from May 27 to June 17, 2026, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., at Five Points Center for Active Adults, 2000 Noble Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.
The ukulele instructor, Keith, is offering a set of four weekly sessions that go over the basics of music and how this applies to ukulele.
After these sessions, participants should be able to jam with most music groups, since you will know both the chords and notes that everyone is playing. If you have an old ukulele in storage, now is the time to bring it out. Keith will have the material and some extra ukuleles to ensure everyone can play.
Some regularly scheduled ukulele jam sessions are The Raleigh Uke Jam (1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at Church of Nativity in Raleigh), and the Kanikapila Ukulele Meetup (1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at Kōmana Brewing Company in Raleigh.)
