Tonya’s Cookies and Bake Shop is at 400 S Elliott Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The bake shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until they run out of cookies.
Tonya is the granddaughter of Mildred Council, the southern culinary icon who founded Mama Dip’s Kitchen, and she created these cookies while working in the family restaurant. The Pecan Crisp cookies were named to Oprah’s Favorite Things list in 2021.
