All About Titanic: The Exhibition
Produced by Imagine and following highly successful stops in Chicago, Dallas and Salt Lake City that welcomed more than 700,000 visitors, the exhibition’s visit to Charlotte continues the public’s timeless fascination with the legendary ocean liner.
“Titanic: The Exhibition” is an interactive experience chronicling the amazing story of the design, construction, launch, maiden voyage and tragic ending of the largest and most luxurious ship in the world at that time.

Upon “boarding,” guests receive a boarding card to trace a real passenger’s journey. Visitors step into re-created first- and third-class cabins to experience life on board. From there, they proceed through galleries showcasing more than 300 artifacts from the Titanic and other White Star Line vessels of that period, and discover the ship’s resting place 2.5 miles down on the ocean floor.
The journey concludes at a memorial wall, where guests reflect on the 1912 tragedy and learn the fate of their assigned passenger.

Music from the era plays throughout the exhibit as patrons view exquisitely detailed re-creations of the ship’s interiors, including a replica of the ship’s famous Grand Staircase, the first-class hallway and millionaires’ suite, the third-class hallway and accommodations, the boiler room and the ship’s exterior promenade deck complete with a starry night sky.
The Discovery Gallery is dedicated to discovery and research of the Titanic’s wreckage site and features a raised glass floor simulating the sea-floor debris field where the ship came to rest. The gallery includes a captivating film that provides an in-depth look at the forensic research related to the collision, break-up and sinking of the Titanic.
One of the most popular exhibits brings guests face to face with an actual iceberg under a starlit night sky. Guests are encouraged to touch the iceberg, chilled to the actual temperature of the water in the North Atlantic the night the ship sank.

A special Carolinas Connections gallery showcases ties that both North and South Carolina have to the Titanic. Did you know the Vanderbilts purchased tickets to the ship’s maiden voyage? How about the interesting discovery within the last 20 years that the Cape Hatteras Weather Station was the only station that received the initial distress signal from the doomed ocean liner?
A companion VR Experience, available as an optional add-on, allows guests to descend 2.5 miles beneath the Atlantic Ocean’s surface to the Titanic’s final resting place. Once there, they view firsthand what it’s like to explore the ship in its present condition. Guests can also choose to enhance their journey with an optional audio guide, providing a rich narrative with additional in-depth stories.

“I would be incredibly grateful to win tickets to Titanic: The Exhibition at the Park Expo & Conference Center in Charlotte! This isn’t just another museum visit—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime immersive journey that brings one of history’s most captivating tragedies to life in a deeply personal way.
As a mother who’s always been fascinated by the Titanic story, I’ve shared books and documentaries about the ship with my family for years. My 10-year-old nephew Javonte is obsessed with the engineering and the stories of survival, while my 8-year-old Neice Lily loves the elegant fashion and personal passenger tales from the era. Bringing them to this exhibition would create such meaningful family memories—watching their eyes light up as they receive their own boarding cards, follow a real passenger’s journey, and discover whether their assigned person survived that fateful night of April 15, 1912.
The experience sounds perfect for us: walking through recreated first- and third-class cabins to understand the stark differences in life aboard, marveling at the replica Grand Staircase with period music filling the air, exploring over 300 authentic artifacts, and then heading into the Discovery Gallery to see the wreck site 2.5 miles down. The new “Titanic’s Connections to the Carolinas” gallery will be especially meaningful for us as a North Carolina family, tying right into local history with the Cape Hatteras distress signals.
Winning these tickets would turn a regular summer weekend into an unforgettable educational adventure for our family of four (including my husband , who teaches history). It aligns perfectly with our goal of hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity in the kids while we all reflect together at the memorial wall. With previous stops drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors, I know this will be a highlight we’ll talk about for years.
Thank you for the opportunity—fingers crossed we get to board as a family and trace those passenger stories together!
