
The Town of Apex is presenting Sushi & Sumo, as part of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Apex Community Park Volleyball Courts, Apex Community Park Drive, Apex, North Carolina.
This is a free event.
Raijin Sumo, a North Carolina based non-profit and recreational sports club that teaches and trains in the art of Japanese Sumo Wrestling, will perform live sumo demonstrations and share the history behind the sport.
Attendees will see real matches that highlight the strength, skill, and strategy behind this traditional Japanese sport.
Tombachi Food Truck will be on site serving up hibachi and sushi for purchase.
