The Raleigh International Folk Dancing Dancers are a group of people who are dedicated to learning and promoting dances from different cultures around the world. They’ve been a group since 1968.
They meet every Friday, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., at Glen Eden Pilot Park, 1500 Glen Eden Drive, Raleigh, to dance together.
All are welcome. The cost is just $3, to help offset the rental cost.
Early in the evening they focus on teaching and doing easier dances. Later in the evening they’ll mix in more intermediate and advanced dances.
You don’t need a partner to participate, and no dance experience is needed. If you just want to watch and see what the group is all about, that’s fine too.
