Oak City Salsa Social is a live music and dance series that takes place at Gipson Play Plaza, Dix Park, 715 Biggs Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina.
These are FREE events, but registration is required. Registration begins two weeks before each event, at 12 p.m.
Each event includes:
- 6:00–6:30 PM: DJ Set — Get settled and enjoy music to kick off the evening.
- 6:30–7:00 PM: Free Community Dance Lesson — Learn some moves and get ready to dance!
- 7:00–7:45 PM: Live Music — First Set — Enjoy a live performance from the featured band.
- 7:45–8:15 PM: DJ Set + Local Artist Spotlights — Dance to the DJ while local poets and visual artists share a little about their work.
- 8:15–9:00 PM: Live Music — Second Set == The band returns for the final set and closes out the evening.
