NC Mario Kart Community hosts a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament series at Bad Machines, 108 E Main Street, Durham, NC. It’s generally happening every other Friday, but occasionally on a Saturday.
Bad Machines is an eSports bar and is age 21+ only.
The event starts at 8 p.m.

This special Friday the 13th edition incudes candy for those who come in costume, a themed grand finals set, and a raffle.
It costs $10 (cash) or $15 (digital) to compete. It’s free to spectate and there will be free casual matches before the event. There will be a limited number of extra controllers.
Players are guaranteed 8-12 tracks before the cut to grand finals.
Prize money is based on the number of registered players plus the pot bonus. Payouts are split between the top 3 winners. First place gets 50%, second place gets 30%, and third place gets 20% of the prize money.
If there are 8 or more players, Bad Machines will provide a $100 pot bonus.
